Joanne Nicholson, BHK
has been a kinesiologist in the personal exercise rehabilitation field for
over 8 years. She has a degree in Human Kinetics from the University of BC,
and has been working with the Allan McGavin Sports Medicine Center since
completing her practicum. Joanne
works with a very diverse clientele from sports injuries to myofascial pain. Her positive attitude
allows her to make people feel comfortable and motivated.
Her most recent interest is in Cancer Exercise Therapy.
Her experiences with people living with cancer have proven that there is a very large discrepancy in information and
resources concerning cancer and exercise. As a
result “Back on Track Fitness” has been developed.
Phil
Sera has always been active in swimming,
running and outdoor pursuits such as backpacking and snowboarding. Phil has over 12 years experience working with people in
educational and motivational roles as an outdoor educator and as a
personal trainer. A growing
percentage of Phil’s clientele are post-rehabilitation.
Phil’s primary
goals are encouraging
self-esteem and independence through a progressive and tailored exercise program. He
believes that fitness training can be used as a vehicle for confidently
enjoying a healthy active lifestyle.
